This major re-design was to improve the usability of the site, increase the strength of the Witnness brand and to help establish an online presence for all information relating to the festival. Guinness, the organisers of the festival, wanted to communicate and utilise the web a lot more than it had before and this re-design was to facilitate that. The re-design proved very successful and traffic increased dramatically after its launch.
